Job Summary:

The Project Manager plays a critical role in leading and delivering cross-functional projects on time, within scope, and on budget. The project manager ensures alignment with business goals, manages stakeholder expectations, and mitigates risks across initiatives. This job description covers the essential responsibilities, qualifications, and skills required to succeed in this key position. Project Managers play an essential part in driving operational excellence, coordinating resources, and delivering value for GovServe Solutions.

  Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in collaboration with      

        stakeholders.

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

• Lead cross-functional teams, assign tasks, and track progress through appropriate project         

        management tools.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; implement contingency plans.

• Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs with formal change control processes.

• Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executives and stakeholders.

• Ensure-quality assurance and adherence to governance frameworks.

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and steering committee sessions.

• Partner with business sponsors to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

• Monitor and report on project performance metrics (scope, schedule, cost, quality, benefits 

        realization).

• Ensure documentation is complete and accessible (plans, charters, risk registers, lessons 

        learned).

• Lead vendor and contract management as needed for external resources.

• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects.

Education And Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, engineering, or a related field (required).

• 5+ years of project management experience (PMP or equivalent preferred).

• Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-workstream projects.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Jira/Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Willingness to travel as required by projects

Pay Details The base compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000. This range reflects GovServe Solutions's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
